What is queer art? In recent years museums and galleries have begun to address this question, but often in the context of polite, institutional curation. This weekend you can explore the concept in a less hierarchical, and more expansive way at the Queeriosities art and makers fair in London.
Founded and curated by Davy Pittoors, Queeriosities is a traveling platform dedicated to amplifying LGBTQIA+ voices through exhibitions, workshops, and community-driven events. Celebrated for its unique blend of curation and community, the fair invites visitors to explore the intersection of art and craft, past and present with a diverse showcase featuring over 50 LGBTQIA+ artists and makers.
Central to this weekend’s event is the feature exhibition, Wendy Houses, a collection of miniature installations exploring themes of queerness, identity, and domesticity. Artists Daniel Ovalle Costal, Daisy Blower, Maciek Worosilak, and Anka Dabrowska transform dollhouses and miniatures into detailed queer spaces, reimagining home as a place of belonging, self-expression, and resistance.

Alongside Wendy Houses, Queeriosities will host an engaging roster of community-focused activities. The fair will include queer housemate mixers, creative workshops, and a book signing by author Gemma Rolls-Bentley, who will join Common Press in their project space for this special occasion. Adding to the lineup, the Bob Mizer Foundation will make its UK debut, bringing a historical perspective on queer art and photography from the U.S.
Queeriosities runs at the Copeland Gallery (133 Copeland Road, London, SE15 3SN) Friday 1-Sun 3 Nov ember. Tickets and hours can be found here.
